And that evening, after dinner, I looked online to see what the author - Meher Baba - looked like. When I saw his face, I felt I'd been struck by lightning and I burst into tears of joy.

"Hello, Dad," I said.

I felt complete, as if I had found a long-lost father.

Meher Baba, born Merwan Sheriar Irani (1894-1969), was a Spiritual Master described as an Avatar. He taught that God alone exists and emphasized love and selfless service.

I simply know him as Dad.

What has happened to me since August 2023 is undoubtably enthralling. In a very short space of time, I was shaken awake to a higher consciousness. I am not religious. I am no expert in spirituality. I believe I am now in a very rare life-position. What is extraordinary, is that I really did have an ordinary suburban life until last year.
